Design For Six Feet, 2020/2021

What started as a crowd-sourced initiative on Instagram to share ideas about how to rethink urban life in response to COVID-19, continued as a collaboration with cities — big and small — to experiment with new ways we can alter public space for the benefit of all, and, in doing so, pave the way for long-term change, new spaces and new spatial practices.

Developed in a “just do it” mode of immediate action, these low-budget small urban interventions activated public space, focusing on youth when it was most needed during the pandemic.
